友人のサマーハウス 4 デッキ Deck

～「友人のサマーハウス」の続き～

友人の両親が住んでいるサマーハウスの話（リンク1, 2, 3）の続きです。

息子が日本人と結婚したため、このサマーハウスのオーナーたちも日本に行ったことがある。日本で縁側や回廊を見て自分たちの家にも回廊式デッキを作ることにしたそうだ。

この家は東西の2面に広いデッキがあり、それらをつなぐ細いデッキが南側に設けられて回廊（3面）の様になっている。

回廊にしたおかげで、室内と東側デッキ・西側デッキの間を裸足で自由に行き来できる。
また、北スウェーデンの様な高緯度地域では一年の中で太陽の動きが大きく変わるため、日光浴に適した場所も変わる。東西南側それぞれにデッキがあることで、時間や季節に合わせてより快適な場所を選べるようになっている。

奥さんに勧められ、私たちもデッキで朝食を食べてみた。

東側デッキは朝日を受けて清々しさでいっぱい。

デッキからは対岸の家々と森や広い海が見える。

As the owners’ son married with Japanese woman, they have been to Japan. When they saw a Japanese traditional veranda “Engawa” in Japan, they got an idea to have decks around the house.

There are wide decks in the east and west sides of the house and these decks are connected by the relatively narrow deck. With these decks, they can move between the decks without having shoes. Since this house is around 67 degree in latitude, the sun moves very differently throughout the year. They can sit in the most comfortable place varying by time and season. (First picture)

Here, we had breakfast on the west deck, in which the full of morning sun shine. (Second picture)
Beyond the wide view of the bay, we saw the houses and forests on the other side of the coast. (Third picture)

更新について

スウェーデンに来てからずっと、仕事に関して自分がしたい事と現実にできる事との間のズレに悩んできました。私にとっての仕事というのは環境設計に関わることです。ウメオで私の滞在期間中にこの分野で実際に働くことは難しく、将来的に仕事につながることを期待して自分なりに動くしかない状況です。これもなかなか思うようには進みません。

そんな中このブログは、仕事へつながる唯一の手段であり私にとっての支えです。
このブログがあるおかげで、”暮らしの環境”についての意識を保って来れました。

けれど今、ブログに書きたい事はたくさんあるのに、
「頑張ろう」という気持ちすら弱くなってしまいブログを書くことも進みません。

そういうわけで今は、
自分の気持ちと向き合いながら、ブログで伝いたい事をよりちゃんと伝えられるようにゆっくりじっくり考えて書いていきたいと思っています。

更新が以前より更に遅くなりますが、今後ともどうぞよろしくお願いします。
そして、いつも見て下さってありがとうございます。心から嬉しく思っています。




おまけ

ここしばらく「仕事がしたい」という思いばかりが強くなり、家族の事すら邪魔に感じてしまっていました。

そんな時何人かの友達が私にとっての家族の大切さやありがたさを気付かせてくれました。

本当にありがとう。

友人のサマーハウス 3 家の歴史 The history of the house

～「友人のサマーハウス」の続き～
友人の両親が住んでいるサマーハウスの話（リンク1, 2）の続きです。

この家は1945年に奥さんのお父さんが自分で建てた。
当時この辺りは道らしい道がなく建材はボートで運んだそうだ。
子供の頃は一年中住んでいたそうだが、いつからかはサマーハウスとして使われていた。
現在の姿は奥さん夫婦が2006年に増築をした後のものだ。

室内は壁も天井もクロスが張り替えられ床も塗り直され一見した限りでは現代風な内装だが、実は夫妻や家の歴史を感じる古い物がたくさん見つかる。

木製ソファ・棚・暖炉などは親や祖父母から受け継いだものが使われている。

ダイニングにある棚（写真左側）は奥さんの祖父母が使っていたものでかなり古い。

暖炉は奥さんのお父さんが自分で作ったもので絵が描かれ魅力的だ。

現代風な中にも使い込まれた木の家具が加わることで、家の雰囲気が柔らかになっている。


この家は築65年だが、スウェーデンでは100年を超える木造住宅も珍しくない。
サマーハウスに限らず、年中住む家としても古い家に住んでいる人は多い。
もちろん定期的に壁を塗り替えるなどの作業は必要だが、柱など家の基礎となるものは相当長い間保つようだ。
面白いのは、古い家を解体して建材を再利用して家を建てる人も多いこと。
上で紹介した家を建てたお父さんは他の場所にもサマーハウスを建てたが、そこでは自分の実家を解体したものを使った。
自分で家を建てない（普通の）人でも、郊外の古い家を購入して自分で直しながら暮らすことがあり、より一般的だ。今後のブログで紹介したい。

This house was built in 1945 by the farther of the current owner. Because there was no real road around there at that time, he had to carry the timbers by a boat. When the current owner was small, her family stayed in this house all year long.

Because the owners renovated the house totally in 2006 for their summer house, the house looks very modern. However, you can find traces of the history of the house. A wooden sofa and cabinets have been used since the owner's childhood. One of the cabinets is even older than house, which cabinet was from the grandparents of the owner.
These old furnitures add soft atmosphere to the modern interiors.

The age of this summer house, 65 years old, is not very old in Sweden. There are a lot of wooden houses that are older than 100 years old. Although owners need to maintain the interior and exterior of the houses periodically, the main frames can stay quite long time.
I have met several people who disassembled old houses to obtain flames for new houses. These new houses made of old woods are also expected to stay more than 100 years. There are lots of old houses in the housing markets as well.

友人のサマーハウス 2 室内 Inside of the house

友人の両親が住んでいるサマーハウスの話（リンク）の続きです。

このサマーハウスは海岸沿い（岸から5m）に建っている。
家自体は小さく室内は全体でも10x8m2程。
その家の3面に大きなウッドデッキが作られている。






















海に面した南東側はリビングとサンルームとなっている。
どちらの部屋にも大きく窓がとってあり海が部屋の一部のようだ。

特に、サンルームは壁2面が海に開かれ、絶景。

ダイニング。

キッチン。

6㎡程に調理台や冷蔵庫が納められているため、日常的に使うには少し狭い。

床はタイル張りで床暖房。

床暖房はタイル張りの玄関にも施されている。

屋内にはこの他に、夫婦の寝室とトイレ/シャワー室がある。

寝室は海側にあり大きく窓がとられている。

海を眺めながら寝入り、起きるとすぐ目の前に海が広がっている…なんて、気持ち良いだろうなぁ。（夏の話です。冬は真っ暗。）

シャワー室とキッチンは少し狭いが、

夫婦2人暮らしでは、10×8㎡の家で十分なように感じる。

これくらいの広さに地下室を加えた家を中心地区でも見かける。

この母屋の他に、倉庫＋サウナ室と客用の小屋2棟が庭に建っているが、
このことについてはまた今度。

This summer house is very close (about 5m) from the seashore.

The size of the house is about 10 x 8 m under the roof, and three side of the house is surrounded by the relatively huge wood decks. (First picture)

Living room and sun room are at the southeast side of the house (sea side). Looking the sea through the big windows from these rooms, you feel the house connects to the sea. (Second picture)

Especially, the sun room has a wonderful view. (Third picture)

Kitchen is rather small about 6m2 including the spaces for the fridge and work top. The tiled floor has floor heating.

Floor heating is also installed in the tiled floor of the entrance.

Other than these rooms shown above, there are a bed room for the owners and a toilet/shower room. 

The bed room is also facing to the sea and has a large window. They can see the sea until they fall in a sleep and soon after they wake up..... How nice the life is! (this only in summer, dark all the time in winter.)

Although the kitchen and shower room are small, this size (10 x 8 m2) of the house is enough for two persons to live. I see houses of this size often everywhere in the center of the city as well.

Actually, there are three small cabins (one for storage + sauna, two for guest bed rooms) in the garden. These will be mentioned on another occasion.
